Terms and Conditions

Effective and last updated: 26 July 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Zommate, including restaurant discovery, meal invitations, table bookings, menu selections, payments and partner services.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Zommate, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. Additional terms shown during a booking, payment or partner onboarding process also apply to that transaction.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law. You are responsible for providing accurate information, completing required email or mobile verification, protecting your login credentials and all activity performed through your account.

One verified mobile number may be associated with only one account. You must not impersonate another person, create misleading profiles or use another person's contact information without permission.

3. What Zommate provides

Zommate helps users discover restaurants, connect with other users, send meal invitations, request table bookings and make supported payments. Restaurants and users remain responsible for the services, information and conduct they provide.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Zommate is a technology platform and is not the restaurant, food preparer, payment bank or personal representative of any user.

4. Bookings and invitations

A booking request is not guaranteed until it is confirmed by the restaurant or shown as confirmed on Zommate. Availability, seating, operating hours and preparation times may change. Invited users may accept or decline an invitation.

You must review the restaurant, date, time, guest count, selected menu items and total before payment. Arrive on time and notify the restaurant when plans change.

5. Menu items and food information

Restaurants provide menu descriptions, images, prices, portion options, availability and vegetarian or non-vegetarian labels. Actual presentation may vary. Contact the restaurant before ordering if you have allergies, dietary restrictions or ingredient concerns. Zommate does not guarantee that food is free from allergens or cross-contact.

6. Payments, cancellations and refunds

Prices and applicable taxes are displayed before payment. Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. You authorize the displayed amount when you confirm payment.

Cancellation and refund eligibility may depend on booking status, preparation already begun, restaurant policy and applicable law. Approved refunds may take additional time to appear, depending on the payment provider or bank. Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable consumer right available under applicable law.

7. User conduct and safety

Treat other users and restaurant staff respectfully. You must not harass, threaten, discriminate against, deceive or exploit another person; publish unlawful or harmful content; interfere with the platform; scrape data without permission; or use Zommate for fraud or illegal activity.

Meeting another user in person involves personal judgment. Meet in public places, protect sensitive information and leave or seek assistance if you feel unsafe. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

8. Restaurant partners

Restaurant partners must keep their business, contact, location, operating-hour, menu, pricing, availability, licence and tax information accurate. Partners are responsible for food preparation, quality, hygiene, lawful operation, order fulfilment and customer service.

9. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Zommate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, improve and promote the platform. You confirm that you have the rights required to submit it.

We may restrict or remove content that violates these terms, infringes rights, creates safety risks or is unlawful.

10. Privacy and communications

Zommate processes account, profile, booking, payment-reference, location and communication information to provide the service. Verification codes and transactional messages may be delivered through third-party providers.

By providing contact details, you consent to essential service communications such as verification codes, booking updates, invitation responses and payment notices. Marketing communications, where offered, are subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.

11. Third-party services

Zommate may use third parties for payments, messaging, maps, hosting and authentication. Their terms and privacy practices may apply when you use their services. Zommate is not responsible for an independent third party's systems or conduct beyond what applicable law requires.

12. Service availability

We may update, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, but we will take reasonable steps to maintain the service and protect its integrity.

13. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Zommate is provided on an “as available” basis. Restaurant services, food quality, user conduct and third-party services are supplied by independent parties. Zommate does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.

To the extent permitted by law, Zommate is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the platform. Any limitation will be applied only to the extent valid under applicable consumer and other mandatory law.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Zommate at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, safety concerns, legal obligations, repeated booking misuse or material violations of these terms. Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to respond.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service, law or business practices change. The updated date will appear at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without limiting any mandatory protections available to you. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought before a court or consumer forum with jurisdiction under applicable law.

17. Contact

For questions, booking concerns, legal notices or complaints, contact Zommate through the support or contact channel displayed on the platform. Include your account email and relevant booking reference, but never send passwords, OTPs or complete payment credentials.

These terms are intended as a practical platform policy and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before production use.
